Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation & Stay Matte Pressed Powder

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation

Hello :) So today is a talk about a foundation. When I talk about a foundation I'll talk about 5 categories, 1)What it promises/What colour I've got 2)Packaging, 3)Coverage 4)Bad things about it 5)Things that stand out. Also, at the end I'll tell you how I use it with Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder. So, enjoy! :)

Firstly, I got it in the palest, Ivory. This foundation has SPF 15. It promises a radiant glow and a flawless, illuminated, natural looking finish. It includes peptides and a Vitamin Moisturising Complex. Mind out, it does smell! But I personally have grown to like it.

So, on to the packaging. It comes in a glass bottle with an orange plastic lid. The glass has a curve in it which makes it look more elegant I find, and this is definitely a foundation you can display. I would display it, but I am not a fan of orange, at all. This isn't a problem, because I really like the idea of an orange lid, because it kind of adds a uniqueness to it, also it adds to the wake me up idea of this foundation. Its quite heavy which makes it a bit annoying for travelling, but all this really isn't a problem for me. The application is a pump, and I love pumps! It has Rimmel London kind of sticking out of the bottle, which I think is a nice finish.

The coverage of this foundation really surprised me. I watched reviews on YouTube and because its a glowy foundation no one thought it would be good for oily skin, but just because I have oily skin, doesn't mean I should have matte skin! The coverage is really impressive and it gives your face a glow. When I first squirted it out on my hand I thought it looked way too orangey but that goes when you apply it.

The bad things about this foundation are hard to find. It does tend to slip off oily skin, but look down below for how I prevent this. It can look orange but if you blend and buff plenty it will look natural. The smell might put some people off, but its not a bad thing for me.

The good things are the coverage, the glowiness and the feeling of it on your skin.

I apply this after foundation and blusher. Because its transparent it makes no difference to the colour of your face, which is great. It sets your make up, and mattifys your oil, without taking the glow from the foundation away. For £3.99, definitely worth it.

Rimmel London Wake Me Up foundation-£8.99 from Boots.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder-£3.99 from Boots.

Did you like these two products?
